Two Oklahoma entrepreneurs and environmental experts are exploring ways that a pre-Columbian technique for enriching the soil in the Amazon can become an environmentally friendly tool for the agriculture industry in the Midwest. “Here you have a simple technology that has been used by people in the past for thousands of years that can produce a benefit,” says Paul Shipman, Ph.D. and president of Environmental Technologies Group (ETG) based in Stillwater, OK.
